About Us

Dondoko Taiko was founded in February, 1998 with the support of Mrs. Elaine Yamagata of the Japanese Society and our Sister City Nagaoka, Japan.

 We have performed around the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex and throughout Texas. Our annual performances include the Spring and Fall Japanese Festivals at the Fort Worth Japanese Gardens. We also perform at various martial arts tournaments, weddings, and cultural festivals throughout the year.

 In the summer of 2007 and 2013 we were invited to perform in the Hanabi or “Fireworks” Festival in Nagaoka, Japan. There, we performed in the streets with our sister-group Yūkyū Taiko and several other Nagaoka taiko teams.
